TRAINING

 Puppy Classes 

Puppy classes will be held on Monday Night at 6:30 pm or Saturday Morning at 10:00 am.  Classes run for and hour to an hour and half.

Starting Monday, March 1, 2010

Puppy I - 4 Week Session - $100.00

Education for both the puppy and the owner.    Puppy I Session will bring owners and puppies together with others to socialize their puppies to see how their interact with other breeds and people. 

You will learn techniques to establish leadership and good listening skills in your puppy.  Your puppy will begin learning to come when called, play well with others dogs and people, develop self-control and confidence, enjoy being handled.  Voice Recognition of the owner will be part of the class. 

All rewards will be with praise and positive reinforcement.  The dog needs to recognize the owner is in charge and not the treats. 

Puppy II - 4 Week Session - $100.00 (Join Puppy I and II and pay only $150.00 for both classes)  - Starts April 2010

Continue your education with your puppy as you begin to learn and teach skills to encourage a stable dog.  Learn and teach your puppy basic commands such as sit, down, stay.  You will also continue to socialize your puppy and show them you are the alpha of the pack.

Always remember all puppies are different.  Each puppy is assumed to have a unique set of training needs and that owners differ in terms of their handling skills and what they want to accomplish.  We are here to teach the owners how to begin training a stable and happy dog.  The owner must practice with their dog daily, discipline when needed and take the dog out to exercise to release their energy and socialize their dog.

► Experienced Trained Instructor:  Jason Walker.  Trained at the Augusta K-9 School in Virginia.  Graduated in 1997.  Former police officer trained in K-9 Patrol.  12+ years training dogs for law enforcement and civilian clients.

► Flexible enrollment policy:  Attend classes on dates that fit your schedule.

► Education and Training for both the dog & owner.

► Small and intimate class size.

► All breeds welcome:  Ages 10 weeks to 18 months.

► Dogs must be current and show proof on Rabies (16weeks and older), Distemper and Bordatella vaccinations. Titers with Doctors approval will also be accepted.

Coming soon  - Continued Education for Adolescent and Adult Dogs.  It is very important to continuing working and training your dog past puppy age.  The training for Adolescent and Adult Dogs will be limited to smaller class sizes.  Cost will be $35.00 per class. 

Private Lessons

We offer private lessons for dogs with special needs or behavior problems and are conducted on a one-on-one basis.  Each dog will be evaluated and cost of training will be based on level of needs and aggressive behavior problem.  If you are interested, please contact us to make an appointment to privately meet with the trainer.
